Drawing is a meditative way of connecting with the visible world around us. I enjoy giving people permission to draw and believe that pencil and paper are powerful and democratic tools.

Community Created Field Guides:

In Tenakee Springs, Alaska, I facilitated a workshop with local residents to make portraits of plants growing in their community. Together we paid attention to our plant neighbors and made signs which we photocopied and posted around town. The portraits include local knowledge, folklore, personal anecdotes, drawings and findings from personal research.

If you or your community is interested in creating a poetic and locally-made guide to a place, reach out! I love facilitating.
